Attic Greek Black-Figure Siana Cup
An ancient Greek large Attic black-figure Siana cup, a deep wine cup, the lower body with a reserved band containing alternating red and black tongues.
Ca. 550-540 BC. Height: 6 in. (15.5 cm); Width 13 1/2 in. (35 cm). Foot repaired, otherwise intact.
Siana cups are so named after the site of Siana on the island of Rhodes where a number of them were found.
