Roman White Glass Hexagonal Bottle

An ancient Roman mold-blown white glass hexagonal bottle, with six panels separated by columns, each with an image of a different vase (amphora, krater, hydria, etc.), grape clusters below.

Sidon.
Ca. 25-50 AD.
Height: 3 in. (7.8 cm).
Intact. Rare.

Milky white mold-blown glass has been identified with ancient glass manufacturers in Tyre and Sidon, where the tradition of glass making first began with the Phoenicians and persisted through Roman times.
