Apulian Red-Figure Amphora
A large ancient Apulian red-figure amphora. On one side a white draped female figure seated on an Ionic capital within a naiskos fans herself. On the reverse is a large profile of a woman.
Campania, Magna Graecia, Southern Italy. Ca. 330-300 BC. Height: 21 3/4 in. (55 cm). Intact, excellent condition.
Formerly in the Stadler collection, Lucerne, Switzerland, 1960's-1970's.
