Greek Bronze Helmet: Illyrian Type

The helmet is constructed of a single sheet of bronze, with a quadrangular opening for the face, fixed cheek pieces, an angular neck guard, and two raised crest lines with holes at either end for attachment of the crest. Type 3A variant 2.

Ca. 550-480 BC.
Height: 10 in. (25.4 cm).
Losses restored in areas at the top, otherwise complete and in good condition.
