Old Babylonian Chalcedony Cylinder Seal
An ancient Old Babylonian milky chalcedony cylinder seal inscribed with a procession of two individuals, their right hands raised, coming before a bearded figure in a tall hat whose foot rests upon a rock. Behind this figure a woman, perhaps a deity, stands facing, her arms folded.
Probably of provincial manufacture. Ca. 2000-1595 BC. Height: 7/8 in. (2.2 cm). Intact.
