Egyptian Faience Standing Figure of Khnum
An ancient Egyptian blue faience amulet of the ram headed god Khnum, the Lord of Elephantine, in a kilt striding, his hands at his sides.
Late Period, ca. 700-30 BC. Height: 1 3/4 in. (4.1 cm). Intact.
Khnum was the Egytpian creator god who fashioned humans from clay on the potter's wheel. He was associated with the inundation of the Nile.
