Attic Red-Figure Kylix

An ancient Attic Greek red-figure kylix, a wine cup, with a disk foot and lateral hankdles. In the tondo are two draped youths in conversation. On the exterior there are three draped youths depicted on each side, one regards a crested Corinthian helmet held in his outstretched hand. An incised graffito under the foot, HD.

Athens, Attica.
Ca. 440-430 BC.
Width: 11 3/8 in. (28.6 cm).
