A Pre-Columbian Jamacoaque ceramic hand, naturalistically rendered, with a drilled hole in the wrist which suggests that it was originally part of an articulated ceramic figure or worn as an amulet. Ecuador, Northern Manabi Region. Ca. 500 BC - 500 AD. Length: 6 in. (15.2 cm). Intact. Formerly in a New York private collection.
