Attic Greek White-Ground LekythosAn ancient Attic Greek white-ground lekythos with a central palmette design bounded by a maeander decoration above and zig-zag and grid patterns below. Athens, Attica. The lekythos was used to hold olive oil in antiquity and was often left as a grave offering. Cf. D. C.
