Carthaginian Glass Pendant
An ancient Carthaginian translucent blue glass pendant, each side with a facing head of a bearded male with curly hair, with a centrally vertical piercing and suspension loop above. Late 4th - 3rd century BC. Height: 3/4 in. (1.9 cm). Intact. Cf. Metropolitan Museum of Art, inv. nos. 17.194.578 (blue) and 74.51.4033 (brown). Formerly in the collection of Armen Sarkisian, acquired in Egypt in the 1950s.
