Egyptian Limestone Relief

An ancient Egyptian limestone polychrome sunk relief bearing two partially preserved columns of Hieroglyphic text, likely an extract from chapter 22 of the Book of the Dead, reading that, the supplicant will be reborn in the secret land, and he asks that his mouth be restored so that he might speak before the Great God.

Saite Period, 26th Dynasty,
Ca. 664 - 525 BC.
Height: 13 1/2 in. (34.3 cm).
