An ancient Old Babylonian hematite cylinder seal depicting a standing goddess wearing a horned headdress and tiered robe with arms raised in supplication, with a four-line Akkadian cuneiform inscription.

Old Babylonian Period.
Ca. 1900 - 1600 BC.
Height: 1 1/4 in. (3.4 cm).

Translation:
Nabium-malik,
son of Adad-hazir,
servant of (the gods)
Amurru and Lugalgudua.

Lugal-gudua, likely refers to the god Nergal, god of death.

Formerly in the V. G. collection, Maryland, acquired in New York, mid 20th century.
