Aspendos, Pamphylia
Silver stater, 23 mm, 10.85 gm. Obverse: Two nude athletes wrestling. Reverse: EΣTFEÎ?IIYΣ Slinger advancing, triskeles in field. Ca. 370-330 BC. Aspendos was an important city in southern Asia Minor. It was a member of the Delian League. The Persians captured the city in 411 BC. Alexander took it in 333 BC.
