An ancient Bronze Age European fibula formed from six lengths of wire, joined together by three straps, each section terminating into an elaborate spiral of circular-sectioned wire. Late Bronze Age, Central Europe. Hallstatt, ca. 1200 - 900 BC. Length: 9 3/4 in. (24.8 cm). Intact. Formerly in a New York private collection.
