An ancient Egyptian blue faience amulet of Jackal headed Duamutef, one of the four sons of Horus. Duamutef was to insure the protection of the stomach in the afterlife.

Late Period, ca. 700-30 BC.
Height: 2 3/8 in. (6 cm).
Intact, excellent condition.
Fine style.

The four sons of Horus were charged with perserving the vital organs of the deceased in the Afterlife.
