An ancient Roman lady's silver hand mirror with a bronze handle. It is of the standard form with lathed concentric circles on the reverse, a border of drilled holes, and a highly polished face.
2nd century AD.
Likely from a Northern European Workshop.
Height: 8 in. (20.2 cm).
Intact, no repairs, excellent state of preservation.
Ownership of mirror of this quality in antiquity would have been reserved for a wealthy woman.
