An ancient Egyptian large blue faience amulet in the form of a cartouche bearing the name of Pharaoh Ramesses VIII.

New Kingdom, 20th Dynasty,
Ca. 1133 - 1026 BC.
Height: 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm).

Ramesses VIII, Usermaatre Akhenamun, was the son of Ramesses III. He probably only reigned for a brief time. His tomb and mummy have never been found.

Formerly in a New York private collection.
