Silver didrachm, 14 mm, 1.76 gm. Obv: Eagle standing left and tearing at hare. Rev: Crab; below, fish. Ca. 420-410 BC. Akragas (Agrigentum) was a wealthy and powerful Sicilian city in the 5th century BC. It was sacked by the Carthaginians in 406 BC and finally fell to the Romans in 210 BC.
