An ancient Near Eastern terracotta female schematic idol with applied breasts, triangular painted pubic area outlined with incised lines, and a hole at the navel; an opening at the top perhaps for insertion of a separately made head. Late Neolithic, Ca. 5000 - 4000 BC. Height: 2 in. (5 cm). Formerly in an American private collection.
