An ancient Egyptian painted limestone relief fragment depicting a woman seated behind her husband, she wears a dark wig, broad collar, and a long white sheath dress and holds an unopened lotus flower on a long stem in her right hand.

New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty,
Ca. 1550 - 1295 BC.
Height: 6 1/2 in. (16.5 cm).

Formerly in a New York estate, acquired in the 1970's or earlier; old labels reading "Mural Decoration. TOMBS of the queens. Dehr el Bahri. Thebes. XVIII Dynasty. 1500 BC / Queen Hatshepsut on Throne with her husband Thutmosis III at right (shoulder and arm)."
