An ancient Old Babylonian dark stone cylinder seal depicting an elaborate scene of a hero and a winged genie with a standing lion attacking an antelope between them.

Old Babylonian Period.
Ca. 1900 - 1600 BC.
Height: 3/4 in. (1.8 cm).

Formerly in the collection of the renowned Iraqi architect Said Ali Madhloom (1921-2017), brought to the United Kingdom in 1981.
