Egyptian Limestone Relief
An ancient Egyptian painted limestone raised relief fragment depicting the head and shoulder of a man in profile facing right, before him is a column of Hieroglyphic text, reading, "imy-r per," steward, with an incomplete name beginning "Khenty." First Intermediate Period - Middle Kingdom, 10th - 11th Dynasty. Ca. 2100 - 1900 BC. Length: 8 1/4 in. (21 cm). Khenty-Kety was a popular male name in the First Intermediate Period.
